In this case both parties involved are shitheads. Sorry hoaxers, hoaxing 4chan in the way that you did also makes you shitty.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if hoaxers are former 4channers or something like that.

Oh geez, there's a ComicGate now too?
They're going to make a Gate out of everything they want to justify being shitty human beings about, aren't they?

To be honest I'm not convinced that they are actually "anti-4chan". The language used on a web site seems like it's trying to emulate an "SJW" with a complete misunderstanding of what language is actually used when engaging in discussion about social justice. I'm not going to jump to any conclusions because I don't really have the evidence to do so, but I'd be interested to see a "reveal" on who these idiots actually are.

If only. By the way, I made a [HASH]notyourshield image from an idea Niko had: I'm grumpy because from the program I was using I couldn't save it as a PNG so it's a little pixelly and gross. Still! Got to let off a bit of steam. Feel free to use!

Haha, it looks way better than what I'd have drawn! The last two shields look quite unwieldy, though, no self-respecting White Knight would use those

Those last two wouldn't provide good protection in the medieval swordfights I regularly partake in. And where am I supposed to put the handles on those?!
I really do hope the GamerGate people find some self-awareness, and soon. And when they do find it, I hope they don't double down on being assholes. Hopefully they become introspective about their viewpoints and behavior. They might even realize that trying to be a decent person and bettering yourself is much more rewarding than sitting around in an echo chamber of assholishness!

I'm a bit tired of reading those, honestly. It's like reading logs from some group of weird robots. I mean, it's about common decency, not which arguments are more effective. "Hey guys, I've found this tactic that works on most enemies on this level." ED: On a side note, I've discovered that gender options in profile settings are severely lacking! It's a binary choice, actually. I actually wanted to remove that blue Mars symbol because it's a bit useless here.

I agree. It's always disheartening when I'm confronted with a binary choice and I generally tend to issue formal complaints to places that don't offer an "other/prefer not to say" option. Fortunately you CAN make your sex private, which I've done here, but I still get a bit of a twinge when I can't proceed until I choose one or the other.
Seriously, I'm looking forward to a day when what sex or gender you are isn't a big deal and people just treat each other as people. Lately I've been getting more hope that I might see that in my lifetime, but it's still a long way off.

Ah, I can make it private! Thanks. More on topic, nothing really interesting regarding GroverGrate, except another anti-feminist article about how fun GTA V is on Spectator.co.uk. Recommended by Milo "men and women are different, men are better at tech, deal with it" Yiannopoulos.

I guess it comes from PUA culture, but I don't understand with the sudden fascination with alpha/beta descriptors. I guess certain people really believe they are like wolves with their three wolf moon shirts.

"Reeking" is probably their best skill, be it of desperation or from lack of showering Here's a good and detailed article on that TFYC game thing, and where all the money involved is actually going: socialjusticeviv.tumblr.com/post/98412304682/the-fine-young-capitalists-arent-actually-helpingIn much more awesome news, the newest weekly Humble Bundle is great. Niko's recent favorite "The Yawhg" is one of the games included! www.humblebundle.com/weeklyAll games with female protagonists, and you can choose how to split the money you pay between the developers and the Girls Make Games scholarship fund. Unlike the TFYC thing, Girls Make Games is about teaching young women how to make games. They recently had a successful Kickstarter campaign for a game that's actually made by young women, and I was able to contribute to it at the time. Also, if the GamerGoobers are so obsessed with Alpha and Beta males, why aren't they using the rest of the greek alphabet? They'd get 22 more possible classifications to put people in, and they could use awesome terms like "Kappa male"!

I've just recently realized that whole TFYC campaign is kind of condescending to women. And yay, what a great bundle! And I've played only two games from that list: Long Live the Queen and The Yawhg. And Kappa male is sort of fitting BTW I've added you on Steam, mrnarse, but I think you have to approve or something.

Another fun fact: Ello, the new hip social media service has classified [HASH]gamergate as hate speech. Very cool! If anyone has an invite and wants to share it here, that would be cool. (Even if hip new social media things fail all the time.)

Daaaaaaaaamn, Zoe just lit up TFYC on Twitter She sure did. storify.com/jbradfield/zoe-quinn-re-tfycIt's really amazing how the more and more these parties (GamerGate, TFYC, etc.) talk, the deeper the doo doo pile they make.

Added y'all! Indie games on Steam are great, especially because you don't need any kind of powerful rig to play the vast majority of them.
Pretty slow day in GamerGate-dom. Are they all off somewhere else complaining about the changes in Destiny that fix the loot caves?
