I love me some Borderlands zombies I'm trying to play through Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, but I'm the worst Metal Gear player in the world. I'm terrible at that kind of stealth. The only game in the series that I beat was the Gamecube remake of the original, and I had to set the difficulty to Very Easy because I'd always get detected and killed. I also started playing Pokemon X, the first Pokemon thing I've ever purchased! I was already well into high school by the time Pokemon first came out, and I was more busy with the PS1, N64, and SNES, and not so busy with my almost 10-years old at the time Game Boy. You can choose to play it in Japanese, so I did. Wish me luck!

Good luck! I'm gonna buy Alien: Isolation today, but I'm already sort of afraid to play it.

I tried playing it with kana one time and it was so much harder than with kanji so I gave up - for some reason I'm kind of useless without kanji to guide me with word meanings! I have Pokemon Y. We should totally trade some exclusive shit sometime.

With the Kanji, for sure. Especially with how I've been studying the language. I've been using the Remembering the Kanji method, so for the words that I don't know, I at least know some simple meanings of Kanji in English that might give me a clue as to what is being said. If it were all kana, I'd go mad with all the words that use the same kana. If I ever progress far enough into the game and know what I'm doing, let's totally trade! I'm a total Pokemon newbie, and I take a really long time playing in Japanese because I like to read everything. Niko, did you see that they found out how to enable the Oculus Rift mode for Alien: Isolation on PC? www.polygon.com/2014/10/8/6948711/alien-isolation-oculus-rift-vr-supportI would poop my pants playing a game like that in VR.

Yeah, I'm gonna try that if I have the chance, but I'm gonna take spare pants!

Does anyone want a steam key for Long Live the Queen? I already have it, but I got it in the humble bundle a few weeks ago.

Considering how terrible I am with horror films, I can only imagine interactive horror would completely freak me out.

I just started playing Watch Dogs tonight, and it's terrible so far.
You play as an angry bearded white guy wearing a baseball cap and trenchcoat. He's also a psychopath who's a murderer before the game even starts. He speaks in the most grunty Batman voice ever. I expect him to start screaming "DARKNESS! NO PARENTS!" every time that he opens his mouth.
Your main weapon is to dox everyone in the game world so you can steal their money or listen in on their conversations. All the women I've encountered in the game so far are either victims or "evil women who fake pregnancies".
If you've seen the parts about the game in the Tropes vs. Women video series, know that everything Anita said about it is true, and that it's even worse than she says. You have to let a woman be victimized before you can complete certain side missions. You can't stop a guy before he tries to hurt her. And you might be given only a split second in between a guy trying to kill a woman and him actually killing her. That happened to me with one of the side missions, but it was a guy he killed. But I still got credit for beating it even though I didn't save the person.
The driving controls are really bad. It's like you're driving on ice the whole time. It looks and plays like a lesser GTA clone.
I don't really think I'll have the urge to play it again anytime soon, or at all.
Edit: Was this one of the games that GamerGate was complaining about the reviews of when they tried to act like their movement was about journalistic ethics? The main character in this game is the id incarnate of what a GamerGate superhero would be. (Not sure if I used "id incarnate correctly, but I just googled it and the only result was FilmCritHulks Bond article about "Staring Into the Id of a Boner Incarnate", so I'm leaving it in!)

Ah yes Aiden Pierce, good old reliable Aiden Pierce. I haven´t played through the game but me and my friend had a lot of fun with this guy (he owns the game). It´s just the way the game portrays him as a straight faced hero, completly unaware he looks more and more like a complete maniac the further you go, that makes for truly enjoyable entertainment. From what I played I expected the game to end with him in a gunship helicopter flying over a demonstration against the surveilance state, mowing down rows and rows of civilians indiscriminatly trying to kill some actual badguy screaming "MY NIECE IS DEAAAAAAADDD!!!" . The best part of the game however, is the way he bats the shit out of people with his little telescope baton (or as we called it the "staff of justice"). We went "OH SHIT SON, OUCH!" everytime Aiden battered another possible criminal, well not that he cares anyway, into a boneless pulp... I miss this delighful little psychopath in his "I´m totally not suspicious guys" outfit, still not buying the wii u version though.

The Watch Dogs protagonist definitely does seem like how your average GG sees themselves.

Okay, seriously why did I wait this long to play Deadly Premonition? I've only been playing for around and hour and so far it's marvelous.

So I finished bayonetta 2 today and I love it. Also while the story itself is silly as hell they did something pretty damn smart to tie it into the first part. I´m thinking of posting something akin to a real review of the game later on but at this point my verdict is the following. If you own a wii u, are a fan of or can ignore some rather over the top sexualisation (im the former in bayonettas case), don´t mind a silly story (with some enjoyable characters though) and like action games then I urge to at least try bayonetta 2. Bayonetta was my second favorite game of the last console generation and bayonetta surpasses it in almost every aspect, I´m willing to bet we won´t get a better action game in at least 3 years. Also you get bayo 1 and 2 for 60 bucks, that´s one hell of a nice deal.

I'd play Bayonetta, but, sadly, I'm console-less.
